About

Our Story (so far!)

Cloud 9 Cycles was established in 2009, based first in Camden, moving to its current

address on Store Street in Bloomsbury in 2012. We remain a small Independent bike

shop specialising in custom built bikes and specialist servicing.

Cloud 9 owner Adam has seen the business through the last decade of cycling's evolution, fortunate to enjoy each wave in its full glory here in the capital. The last three years have witnessed the greatest transformation, with various global challenges requiring a sea-change in the way we do business. We've adapted our offering, focusing on our strengths and stepping away from the areas we didn't feel served our customers.

We now find ourselves an especially grateful and motivated team, fortunate to be working closely with our community and suppliers who value our way of business. We hope this renewed focus helps to further distill our offering, providing an even better experience for the customer whilst also ensuring a sustainable

future for the shop. Come and see for yourself!

Adam

Owner and co-founder of Cloud 9 Cycles, Adam ensures the shop's smooth running and is often the first member of the C9 team you'll meet. Far from a backseat bike shop owner, Adam isn't afraid to get hands on.

Likes: Riser bar road bikes and organic Ketchup (although not always together).

Luca

Workshop Manager + Mechanic. A dream bike designer and builder with a mind like a fidgeting Rubik's Cube. When not in the workshop, Luca can be found zipping around on his Yeti Dirt Jump Bike or his Yeti SB130. There is indeed a theme here...

Likes: Small batch components and industrial quantities of pasta.

Alex

Shop Lead + Mechanic

Mechanics wise, Alex learnt almost all she knows the hard way, and everything else under the guidance of Luca. Takes great pleasure in dissecting obscure freehub systems. The best bar-tape wrapper at C9*. (*Controversial)

Likes: Poor traction and Granny Smith Apples.
